Welcome to my world behind the lens! I’m Shakari Benton — born, raised, and rooted right here in North Carolina, where my studio now lives too.

I'm the proud mama of a wild-hearted, camera-shy little boy — my biggest “why.” He’s the reason I go so hard... even if he rarely lets me catch our own moments on camera (new moms get ready lol).

Photography has always lived in my heart. In high school, I was the friend who always had a camera in hand, capturing the little things we never wanted to forget. My very first job was at CVS, where working in the photo lab only deepened my love for preserving memories. After years of dreaming and doubting, in 2024 I finally answered the call — and turned my passion into my purpose.

Whether I’m capturing your growing belly, your growing babies, or your boldest, most beautiful self in a boudoir session — my goal is simple: to help you feel seen, held, and celebrated. You deserve photos that reflect the love and resilience you pour into the world every single day. I shoot with heart, honesty, and a whole lot of soul.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me soaking up time with my son, getting lost in a good book, or catching a well-earned nap.
